Tiger Parents/Adult Partners:
VIRTUS TrainingIt is a REQUIREMENT for the adults who volunteer or are your Scout's Adult Partner to complete specific protection training to comply with Boy Scouts of America as well the Catholic Church given our Charter Organization is Prince of Peace Catholic Community. Boy Scouts of America's YPT (YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING)
Last, but not least, Prince of Peace Catholic Community is PACK 1928's Charter Organization. As such, the Catholic Church REQUIRES all adults who volunteer or are working with children in any capacity at the Church or Church-sponsored events/organizations to attend/complete VIRTUS Training. There are VIRTUS training dates are year-round.
I'm sure as parents/adult leaders these requirements are good safeguards
to have in place for our kids' safety and protection. If you have not
completed your training requirements, let's all do our part to comply and be properly trained! As the Boy Scouts of America proclaims, "YOUTH Protection Begins with YOU!"

Den Meetings
As posted by our Cubmaster, Den meetings are
generally on Tuesdays starting at 7pm for all dens. Please check ScoutTrack calendar for the Tigers meeting room. Please check our Pack Calendar for meeting dates as sometimes we don't meet on a given Tuesday if a "Go See It" (field trip) has been planned in lieu of meeting. |
Tiger Cub Handbook
This book is for Tiger Cubs and their adult partners. It covers what your Scout and you need for your scouting year. It tells about the
Tiger Cub program; gives information about dens, leaders, uniforms, and
advancement; and includes ideas for planning a den program. After that are
the advancement activities—achievements and electives. Finally, there
are sections on Cub Scouting's Leave No Trace Awareness Award, the Cub Scout Academics
and Sports program, the BSA Family program, and the Bobcat requirements and
moving into a Wolf Cub Scout den. The Cub Scout Tiger Cub Handbook (item number 34713) is available
